The Race for Myeloma is a 5k in Bangor that raises funds to support research for a cure to Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is a rare and currently incurable cancer of the plasma cell (blood cancer). 2016 marks the 10th annual 5k event, which is being held on Saturday, September 24th at the James Doughty School (143 Fifth Street).

Race day raffle contains home made items and donated gift certificates from local businesses. Tickets are 7 tickets for $5. Patticakes dessert truck will stop by and a live band will perform.
