**PKN Bangor Vol. 21 has been postponed to November 18th due to library construction.** PechaKucha Night Bangor is back with Vol. 21 on Friday, November 18th at the Bangor Public Library, 145 Harlow Street, in Downtown Bangor. A selection of new presenters and a few returning favorites from our first year will surprise the audience with images and stories about their creative work and ideas. $25.00 The Race for Myeloma is a 5k in Bangor that raises funds to support research for a cure to Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is a rare and currently incurable cancer of the plasma cell (blood cancer). 2016 marks the 10th annual 5k event, which is being held on Saturday, September 24th at the James Doughty School (143 Fifth Street). Musicians: Registeration is open until September 1, 2016. A registration fee of $10 secures musicians a table, reserved space, signage and promotion. Launchpad’s ‘Pop-Up’ Record Store Day is a crawl of pop-up stores across various locations in downtown Bangor, made up entirely of the CDs, Vinyl, Tapes and Merch from Maine-based musicians of various genres. Musician run, “pop-up” record stores will appear on Saturday October 8, 2016 ( 1/2 way to National Record Store Day) beginning at 10am and run until 3pm.
