23rd Annual Paws on Parade September 24 @ 8:00 am

Now in its twenty-third year, Paws on Parade is Bangor Humane Society’s annual fundraising event and celebration of pets to benefit the animals at the shelter awaiting forever homes. Over a mile long, the route runs from the Bangor Waterfront through Downtown Bangor and meets back by the water. Walk with your dog or with a human companion, or simply sponsor a Paws participant! The Bangor Humane Society is a donor supported, private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. BHS is Maine’s oldest and largest animal care and adoption facility. BHS cares for over 3,000 owner released and stray animals each year. We serve over 200 communities in Maine, including eastern, coastal, down east, and parts of northern Maine. 9th Annual Bangor Walk to Defeat ALS August 27 @ 10:00 am

More than just a few-mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for a cure, and to come together for something you care about. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event, which raises funds that allow our local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year.
